The skincare guru dishes on 2025’s hottest skincare and wellness trends and why his new business location is a hub for clients.
February 4, 2025
By: Lianna Albrizio
Associate Editor
Beauty industry veteran Gregory Dylan has worked with brands and retailers from Sephora to Dr. Dennis Gross. In 2019, the skincare guru launched his first product on his eponymous beauty line inspired by his professional treatments. His expertise coupled with working closely with foremost chemists and laboratories have landed him on television networks from E! to Bravo.
Dylan sat down with Happi to discuss his brand’s recent expansion into Palm Springs, CA, a locale that he says serves as his hub for “die-hard” clients.
Happi: What are some of 2025’s hottest skincare trends and how does your products align with them?
Gregory Dylan: I think we will continue to see a big focus on performance-based ingredients, especially on biotech options as well as natural and organic sources. There’s also a trend for streamlining routines and creating home care regimens that are more simple and focused. Additionally, home care devices will continue to be popular.
These align well with my brand as I have always combined traditional techniques and technology with my facial treatments and have carried that over to my skincare line. I have always stressed the importance of effective and stable formulas that deliver results while also using botanical-based ingredients to support the overall blend, and I think my labs have done a great job with that.
Happi: How did you go about curating The ‘Glow Up’ and ‘Clean Getaway’ skincare sets and what’s’ in them?
Gregory Dylan: I wanted to have two special offerings that included favorites for two different skin types along with some branded merchandise, which is always fun. “Clean Getaway” is perfect for someone with oilier or breakout-prone skin and includes my super gentle and effective oil-based cleanser, Opening Act, and my skin smoothing and clarifying mask, Velvet Glow. Together they are great to gently deep clean and soften texture without over-drying while curbing breakouts. They also come with a branded headband and mask brush to help recreate an at-home spa experience.
“Glow Up” consists of my power couple, Vitamin A-List and Dream Sequence. Vitamin A-List is a time-released retinol serum with lactic acid to soften texture, tone and pigment while Dream Sequence is my silky beauty oil that helps with barrier repair and plumping and is loaded with superfood and fruit oils and essential fatty acids. Apply them at night and the skin is oh-so glowing in the morning! Plus, it includes samples of my anti-fatigue products, Skin Slept In and Eye Slept In packaged in my signature cosmetics bag!
Happi: As an esthetician, how important is skin care education when choosing the right products?
Gregory Dylan: In addition to my career as an esthetician, my past corporate experience was in training and education so I will always consider this aspect vital to understanding and curating a skincare regimen. While I know my fellow estheticians are passionate about education, I always urge consumers to take the time to do a little due diligence when searching for new products and developing a regimen. Having a better understanding of how and why your products work will only help create better choices and, in turn, better results. And naturally, I always suggest having an esthetician that you can trust and build a relationship with. We will always help guide and teach with your skin’s best interest in mind.
Happi: Tell me about the Palm Springs & West Hollywood studios. How will these locations further bolster the brand in terms of location?
Gregory Dylan: West Hollywood is where it all started. It has been a fantastic experience that has included everything from celebrity clients to television appearances. This location serves as my hub for my die-hard clients and any Los Angeles press or meetings. Palm Springs has been so fun to get started and has a totally different clientele. Each is its own unique experience, which I love. And what’s great is many of my clients have homes in or visit both cities, so it has really helped the brand with visibility and convenience for the client.
Happi: How diverse is your clientele?
Gregory Dylan: I’ve been so lucky to have such a wonderful group of people become my clients over the years, and they are all so different! West Hollywood are my super loyal clients, of whom quite a few have been with me since the start. Many came to me in their early or mid 30’s wanting to prevent and now they’re in the next decade looking fabulous! The city has also definitely become younger so I’m always glad to help the next generation of skincare lovers on their quest. And naturally, you can’t beat West Hollywood for diversity.
Palm Springs is certainly a bit more mature clientele and some of them are newer to this type of self-care and are working more on corrective treatments. But Palm Springs has also become more of a hot spot and prides itself on diversity as well. I’m proud to have locations in such wonderful cities.
Happi: Is it true consumers are seeking a minimalist approach to skincare in the new year in terms of their routines?
Gregory Dylan: Absolutely. Things got a bit crazy for a while with the last trend being so many steps and more complicated regimens. The newer focus is more simplified and targeted and also embraces partnering with mindfulness and other types of self-care for a more holistic lifestyle. I love this as my line has always been uncomplicated and this trend also reflects where I am personally, so it is going to be a great year!
Happi: What will your skincare routine be like this year?
Gregory Dylan: I am starting the year off with one of my most effective treatments, Facial Rehab, powered by the Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peel. It is a chemical peel treatment that delivers amazing results. It refines texture, tones, lines and pigment with a real wow factor! After that, I will work back into my regular regimen which is fairly simple and includes most of my products and a few other favs. I will certainly be committing to more professional treatments this year as last year was a little crazy getting the new location up and running. So I am excited to get myself and my clients even more glowing!
